Steps Required to Clean Foggy Headlights
When it comes to driving conditions of limited visibility, or at night, one of the most important safety precautions you can take is making certain that your car’s headlights are in optimal working condition. Beyond making sure that your headlight bulbs are not burned out, you can inspect if the headlight lenses are foggy. If you notice a yellowish color on the lens or the light is lower than before, then your headlights have gotten cloudy, and you need to fix this immediately. In this post, you will learn four easy steps to clean your headlight lenses if it is necessary.
1. Clean the Headlights Surface of Debris
Spritz the affected area with a mild cleanser and gently wipe away anything that may have accumulated on the surface, like dead bugs or dirt particles. Then, wipe down the surface with a dry towel or rag until it is completely dried.
2. Apply Headlight Restorer
Apply cleanser to your headlight lenses, and wait two minutes for it to dry a little bit.
3. Remove Cleanser
Clean off the fogginess by gently making circular motions with your brush over the area of the head light.
4. Eliminate Excess Cleanser
Using your clean towel or rag, buff away any residual cleanser from your lens. Spritz any dried on bits with fresh water and then polish until dry with your cloth.
It is as simple as that. Once you are done, the light intensity will be restored and your headlights will look like brand new!
